Connecting the Dots with ePortfolios

Innovation plan update: learning & growing

I am currently still on track in Phase 4 on my Innovation Plan. I am working on compiling student interviews and feedback for future plans using ePortfolios to connect the dots in student learning. Fall of 2022, I will receive a new class of 5th graders and have plans with our campus technology coach to start ePortfolios with a smaller cohort of students rather than all 100+ of my students. We are also looking at other hosting opportunities outside of Google Sites, as the sharing capabilities proved to be problematic. We also will be receiving new chromebooks, bringing our total to 75 for student population of 100+.

The following is my proposal to leverage technology, specifically ePortfolios, to engage and energize our students through authentic learning experiences, giving them choice, ownership, and voice in their learning.

With the ePortfolio as our tool, we can help out students connect everything they are learning to form true understanding and prepare them for the future.
